Saddle Pads

In the old days, we were told that if we couldn't ride without a saddle pad, our saddle didn't fit the horse. Nowadays, when comfort and performace are known to be directly linked, we have many options in advanced padding technologies to ensure our horse the best, safest, and most effective fit possible.

No matter what kind of saddle you ride in, the pad can sometimes make or break the fit of the saddle. We carry pads designed for both treeless and treed saddle use. Shop online for the latest styles, colours and availability.

Haf Equitation’s saddle pads use a unique padding made of an open-cell material (PK) that protects the horse’s back from damage during training or competitions. The padding is extremely adaptable and guarantees maximum breathability. Undersides available in Sympanova (non-slip) or 100% wool - These pads are avaialble in a variety of shapes to suit any discipline or colour preference. 

Skito Pads are well known in the treeless community for their adaptable and customizable pads. Skito pads utilize a unique memory foam to equalize pressure from any type of saddle. Dryback models increase breathability and are ideal for heavy riding. 100% wool underside which is easily washable. Skito pads come in many colours and styles as well, and all pads feature removeable inserts.

Ogilvy Pads are the ultimate in looks and luxury for the english rider - We carry Ogilvy dressage and jumping pads, full and half pads. Ogilvy uses a softer form of a slow recovery (memory) foam to equalize saddle pressure along the horse's back. Used by greats such as Ian Miller, Ogilvy is well known for its Canadian-Made quality and function.

Christ Lammfelle pads are made with lambskin - the most luxurious texture you can put against your horse's back. We carry Christ in the full english treeless design in both black and brown, and also the haf pads which mate ideally with a regular english riding pad.

Nomad Liner - Nomad liners are an ideal addition to ANY saddle pad - Navy Blue 3M material creates a hygenic, non-slip, and breathable pad liner which allows the sweat to run down the sides of the horse, rather than soaking into your pad. This greatly decreases heat retention, and as an added bonus, keeps your beloved pad clean and lengthens its lifespan! Nomad is sold in squares, but can be cut or shaped to your pad as required. Interpads - Interpads are an excellent option for those who like a classic look, whether used with an english or western pad. Interpads are available from Skito, Christ, Ogilvy, and Lami-Cell. These excellent pads are a great option for the rider on a budget, or who likes to use different pads all the time. It provides a sleek look without compromising on the horse's comfort, or support to the saddle. Interpads can greatly improve the fit of your saddle by equalizing pressure, or accepting shims to ensure a perfect fit all year round, no matter what shape the horse's back is in.
