A limited stretch center portion extends the life of the center elastic which it is paired with. Self-aligning ends with buckles which free-float between themselves ensure that the pull exerted on the billets of the saddle is equalized, as well as aligned correctly for each horse it is used on. $85 or $105 for girth with 100% Wool backing.
